Handling Fees from 1 December 2018
Due to rising costs, we are introducing handling fees as follow:
A handling fee of $15.00+GST for order under NZ$100.
You can avoid these fees by ordering over NZ$100 at a time.
Veneers & Surfaces
A handling fee of $15.00+GST for NON-website wholesale order under NZ$200.
You can avoid these fees by ordering online.
Existing on-Line Customers
Simply log in. If you want to change any of your customer details or view your previous transactions, enter Account Login.
To Become a New Customer
Go to Create Account. Fill out the details as indicated, taking particular care with the delivery details.
Existing Ocean Shell Wholesale or Retail Customers
(Using On line shop for First time.)
If you are an existing Ocean Shell customer shopping online for the first time, you will need to set up an account in the website with your details and then contact us to load this to your original price information.
As soon as you place your order you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase. If your item is on backorder or unavailable we will void the pre-authorization and contact you via e-mail.
If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card it will ship within 3 business days from the date of your order. We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provide when checking out. If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order feel free to follow up with us at email@example.com
Cancellation of your order is accepted without charge provided we have not already dispatched it. After dispatch we will refund the product value provided it is returned in its original condition and packaging. Courier or freight charges will not be refunded. You (the buyer) will also be responsible for the return shipping charges. Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card or bank account that you use when placing your order.
Cancellation will not be accepted if we have completed personalising of the product for you. Cancellation will not be accepted after 30 calendar days from dispatch date.
GST within NZ
All prices shown are GST exclusive. We are required to automatically charge and withhold the applicable GST for orders to be delivered to addresses within New Zealand. GST is not shown on each individual Shop Item but is added in after you proceed to Checkout.
Taxes, Duties & Customs
For customers outside of New Zealand, all taxes, duties and Customs issues that arise are the customers full responsibility.
Delivery of New Zealand Orders
Only shoe box size or smaller parcels will be delivered to postal boxes.
It is your option to choose from:
Courier Tickets (1-2 days plus extra day for rural delivery)
Courier Pack (usually overnight plus extra day for rural delivery) up to 3kg
We do not offer Saturday delivery unless specified and paid for by the customer but cannot be guaranteed.
Shipping for International Orders
Our policy is no courier deliveries to postal boxes except Australia.
It is your option to choose from:
International Parcel untracked (3-10 working days delivery)
International Parcel tracked and trace (usually 1-6 working days).
Shipping is automatically calculated up to 25kg, over that we will notify you of the most cost effective method prior to dispatch.

Supply of Product (Giftware & standard stock items)
Ocean Shell generally holds good stock of all products ready for dispatch within 2-5 days of receipt of order. However our products are provided by Mother Nature and due to seasonal harvest or the high labour input needed to manufacture our merchandise, occasionally delays can occur. We will let you know of such a delay and provide you with the estimated time for obtaining the product. Our policy is your payment will not be required until we can guarantee delivery.
Normal Delivery Option
We always make our best endeavours to pack and send your order so it will arrive to you within reasonable time and in good condition. We use reputable carriers who all have their individual delivery methods. At times, delays, loss or damage can occur with deliveries which are outside our control.
Return of Damaged Goods
If you receive a product that is damaged please keep all the packaging and contact us immediately, we will advise our procedures for return and replacement. Photos sent to firstname.lastname@example.org will be helpful. Requests for the return of product will NOT be considered after 30 calendar days following dispatch date.
Any shipping costs incurred in the return of damaged goods and the shipping of replacement goods remain the full responsibility of the shipping company, or companies when freight forwarders are involved.
Ocean Shell’s product originally comes from Mother Nature. Therefore it is important to remember each individual product is unique in its colour, texture and size. We try very hard to meet the requirements of each of our customers and supply a consistent standard of product. However, if you are not satisfied with what you have received, please contact us on receipt of your order and we will discuss options with you for return and replacement.
Should it be agreed that some or all of the product was defective, shipping for the return of the product and for the replacement product fully remains the client's responsibility.
Payments can be made by:
Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.
We do not store any card data. DPS is the payment gateway who will securely manage the card transaction.
All credit cards are charged in $NZ. There may be minor variations depending on exchange rates. Ocean Shell does not accept responsibility for foreign bank charges.
